A Message from the President, Dr. James P. Klyczek

Dr. James P. KlyczekNiagara County Community College is ready to welcome you and support your efforts to improve the quality of your life through a vibrant education. Our website provides descriptions of NCCC's programs and services and specific directions for your enrollment process. However, words on a page can't adequately describe the intangible benefits that add to the reasons why NCCC is truly the "Smart Place to Start."

NCCC has one focus—you. When you succeed, we succeed as a college and the community improves. A Niagara County Community College education opens the door to opportunities in the workforce or easy transfer into four-year schools.

We provide outstanding faculty teaching in classrooms equipped with up to date technology. Since our student to teacher ratio is approximately 17 to 1, you can expect personalized attention. A recent endowment ensures that our library includes the latest instructional materials and technology to enhance your research.

The college experience extends beyond the traditional classroom and so NCCC continually looks for ways to improve the extra-curricular activities and support services offered to students. Diverse accurately describes our student body and therefore our clubs and organizations.

Looking toward the future, we have begun construction to transform the Henrietta G. Lewis Library into a modern, integrated facility that caters to multiple learning styles and group focused work.  Senator Rob Ortt has secured $12.5 million from New York State to create the Learning Commons at NCCC.  The Niagara County Legislature approved $10 million in funding in June 2015 and the NCCC Foundation plans to raise $2.5 million, the additional amount needed for the project.  When completed, the Learning Commons will be a place for faculty to collaborate and work with students using state of the art technology, a resource area for multiple support services and a home for both students and staff.

We provide all of this at a cost designed to allow access to a higher education even for those who thought it would be impossible. Explore our college through this website and a personal visit to the campus to discover all the ways in which NCCC can benefit you!
