Jaccarino Earns Spot at NJCAA Golf Nationals
SANBORN, N.Y. — News in Niagara County Community College athletics department 
continues to be positive as sophomore Mark Jaccarino (North Tonawanda, N.Y./North Tonawanda) earned an individual spot at the National Junior College Athletic Association golf nationals June 1-5.
Jaccarino shot an 81 and 84 to finish 11th on the par 72 Robert Trent Jones Golf Course in Cornell Tuesday to earn All-Region 3 honors and a trip to nationals at the par 72 Chautauqua Golf Course at the Chautauqua Institution.
Jaccarino is the first individual player to qualify for nationals since R.P. Stringfellow in 1988. The 1972 Trailblazer golf team won the regional title and advanced as a squad.
In addition to the golf team, NCCC has had the 1973 men’s basketball team, the wrestling team and now the baseball team advance to nationals.
