Women’s Lacrosse - Head Coach
Alma Mater: Medaille College
During his first year as head coach, Sanborn resident Nate Beutel led the NCCC women’s lacrosse program to its most successful season in its four-year history. The Thunderwolves finished 2-7, including a narrow 11-10 win over Herkimer CC – the program’s first-ever victory over the Generals.
Under the direction of Beutel, the Thunderwolves had four players (April Maziarz, Mackenzie Oddo, Lexi Zugay and Savannah Fauzey) earn all-Western New York Athletic Conference honors.
Beutel is also the head women’s basketball coach at NCCC. He has previously coached football, basketball, baseball and lacrosse at the college, high school, travel and/or recreational levels.
The former three-sport standout at Starpoint received a master's degree in elementary education and bachelor's degree in sport management from Medaille College. He is a former award-winning sports reporter at the Niagara Gazette and currently an adjunct professor of sport management and intramural-recreation supervisor at NCCC.
