Athletics

The Main Gym, located in H-110, is home to our beloved Thunderwolves teams but they are willing to share their winning space with our community! This gymnasium has standing room for 1,750 people and 720 seated. Pull-out bleachers, hoops, scoreboard, and regulation badminton and basketball lines are available.

Additional Athletic spaces available for rent are:

  • Baseball field
  • Dance studio
  • Multipurpose gym which holds 500 standing guests or 200 seated
  • Softball field
  • Soccer field
  • Tennis court
  • Wrestling room with mats

Banquets and Receptions

SUNY Niagara is ready to host your next big event. Our large banquet hall can be transformed into any configuration to suit your needs. Along with full-service catering and serving options through SUNY Niagara Dining Services, our event coordinator will work with you to plan logistics and layout. Your space will be set up upon arrival and our team of security and custodians are available for safety, emergencies, maintenance and clean-up during and after your event. Classrooms, Lecture Halls and Computer Labs

Guests can request spaces which feature:

  • Amplified sound
  • ELMO document projectors
  • Group and tabled seating
  • Blackout room capabilities
  • Mac computer lab with Adobe suite and animation software
  • Our five lecture halls can seat between 120 and 235 people.
  • PC labs with seating for 17-30 people
  • Rolling tablet desks
  • Teacher’s station with PC casting to projector or TV monitor
  • Tiered seating
  • TVs with DVD and VCR options
  • Whiteboards, blackboards, or SMART boards

Conference Rooms

The A.C.E. Conference room, located on the second floor of the Learning Commons within the Henrietta G. Lewis Library, can comfortably seat 20 people. It is furnished with rolling tables and chairs for easy configuration. The space is equipped with a smart board, PC casting to a monitor, and white boards. Floor to ceiling windows border the room and guests can overlook the rooftop and manicured grounds of SUNY Niagara.

The V. James Renda Faculty Resource Center for Academic Excellence (FRCAE) conference rooms are two, new, beautifully built rooms in the Learning Commons. The larger room in D-106 can seat up to 18 people. A whiteboard, projector, computer, and speakers are available for your meeting. The smaller conference rooms, located in D-106B, can seat up to 12 people. This is a great room for conference calls, presentations, and staff meetings.

The Drake Legacy Room, located in A-Building, can host ten people and features video conference capabilities. It is a technology-enhanced room with PC casting to TV monitors.

Community Room – The recently renovated room adjacent to the Dining Commons, Room G-211 (formally known as the Employee Dining Room), will now be known as the “Community Room.” This name change reflects its use as a space for patrons (employees and outside individuals) for training and collaborating and as a meeting room for all.

Dolce Valvo Art Center

Located within the Learning Commons, the newly renovated Dolce Valvo Art Center is the perfect space to enjoy both professional and student art across multiple disciplines. Hosting a meeting or reception in this creative and open space is the perfect edge for your next event.

Learning Commons

Completed in fall 2018, the newly built Learning Commons space is the crown jewel of SUNY Niagara. The beautiful atrium is home to restaurant-styled seating along with three floors of books and academic resources in the Henrietta G. Lewis Library. Equipped with giant screens, this space can be utilized for

  • Award ceremonies
  • Hosting information tables
  • Screenings
  • Small luncheons

Theatre Performances and Guest Speakers

Our Arts & Media Theatre, located in F-Building, seats 700 people and offers state of the art lighting, sound, and stage equipment. Theatre facilitators are available to run light, sound, and special effects for your next performance. The space is also suitable for:

  • Community meetings
  • Dance recitals
  • Guest speakers
  • Musical performances
  • Organizational training
  • Panel discussions
  • Political debates

The Black Box theatre can host 50 people and is perfect for small plays, singer-song writer performances, comedians, and other creative endeavors.

We also offer additional theatre-related spaces to accommodate rehearsals, performances, and performers:

  • Classrooms for additional storage or a break space for performers
  • Newly renovated men’s and women’s dressing rooms
  • Orchestral rehearsal space
  • Ticket office
