Terms and Conditions for Refunds & Exchanges.

Original Cash Register Receipt required. No Receipt-No Refund (No Exceptions).

Items purchased under Financial Aid and other government authorized accounts can only be returned for a credit to that account. No Cash Refunds.

Items purchased by credit card can only be returned for a credit to the same credit card account. You must bring both the credit card receipt and the cash register receipt for a refund. No Cash Refunds.

All items must have been purchased during current semester. No Refunds on Texts purchased more than one week preceding a semester.

Defective Books and Merchandise will be exchanged. Refunds for defective items will not be given unless there is no stock available for exchanges.

The Bookstore reserves the right to assess the condition and the salability of all returned merchandise.

All refunds are subject to the discretion of the Bookstore Manager.

Additional Terms and Conditions for Textbook Refunds

Book(s) must be unmarked and undamaged or have been purchased as a used book to be eligible for a refund. 

Some Textbooks contain software and cannot be returned for any type of refund if the software package has been opened.

All shrink wrapped textbook and textbook packages must be returned in their entirety to be eligible for a refund. 

  • Many new shrink-wrapped textbooks/textbook packages cannot be returned for any type of refund if the package has been opened.  These are clearly marked on the front or back of the shrink-wrap and on the shelf tag.
  • Some individually shrink-wrapped textbooks are eligible for a 100% refund even if the shrink-wrap has been removed provided that they are in mint condition and resalable as a new book.

Books must be brought in prior to the refund cutoff dates as listed below.

  • Fall and Spring Semesters (Full Semester Courses)-Two weeks after the first day of classes.
  • Summer Sessions (Full Session Courses)-One week after the first day of instruction.
  • Compact Semester and Module Classes-Two days after the first day of instruction.

Students in the Fall and Spring semesters who withdraw from courses will have 3 weeks after the start of the semester to receive a refund. You must provide proof of withdraw and meet all the terms and conditions for for textbook refunds as stated previously.

Students who withdraw from courses after these cutoff dates will have to wait for the Used Book Buyback at the end of the semester.

Proof of enrollment in a course and/or withdraw from a course may be required.

After the cutoff dates, refunds are considered within 24 hours of purchase.

Additional Terms and Conditions for General Merchandise Refunds (Non-Textbook Items).  

Refunds may be made within three days of purchase. Items must be in as - purchased condition including Original Packaging still intact. No Refunds on Uncarded Markers, Pens, Hi-liters, Sale Items, Special Orders, Diskettes, Electronic Media, Computers, Magazines and Study Aids such as Perma-Charts, Candy and other related Items. No Refunds on Clothing purchases - Exchanges will be allowed for sizing errors.
