Richard L. Andres Jr.
Appointed 2017 / Current term expires 2018
Richard L. Andres Jr. was appointed to the Board of Trustees by the Niagara County legislature in 2017. This is his second term on the board serving from 1998-99 as the Student Trustee.
Andres is a Social Studies Teacher at North Tonawanda High School since 2002. He was the City Council President in North Tonawanda and currently serves as a Niagara County Legislator representing the 8th District. In that capacity, he serves as head of the Community Services Committee, that oversees a wide range of social services as well as the community college. Andres also chairs the Ad Hoc Committee on Tourism and serves on the Economic Development Committee and Community Safety and Security Committee.
Andres received an AS Degree in Humanities and Social Sciences from NCCC. He went on to attend Niagara University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education and a Master of Arts Degree in History.
Legislator Andres is very involved in his community. He has served his community in various capacities, including President of the NCCC Alumni Association, Alumni Representative to the NCCC Foundation, Member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Member of Project Pride (Community Beautification), and member of the Active Hose Volunteer Fire Department among many other organizations in North Tonawanda.
Richard L. Andres Jr. resides in North Tonawanda with his wife Colleen and three children Richard III, Samantha, and Charles.
