The Career

Gaming is a fast-growing segment of the entertainment market both locally and nationally. It is a 'round-the-clock 365-day-per-year field that requires high-level management skills and an applied knowledge of legal and regulatory issues.

Employers are looking for employees with a solid knowledge base, skills and abilities. NCCC's Casino Operations certificate program provides the small class sizes and personal attention you need as you take your first steps toward entry-level supervisory and management positions in the gaming industry or toward career advancement. Either way NCCC is the smart place to start.

The NCCC Approach

The Casino Operations Certificate is a 30-credit-hour program offering academic courses that are fully transferable to the A.A.S. Gaming & Casino Management degree.

Students are required to find employment in the industry to complete 400 hours of work experience to fulfill the certificate requirements (prior employment experience may be applicable).

For students who are not yet ready for or interested in a degree, this certificate program will provide the foundation for entry-level supervisory and management positions in the gaming industry.

Transfer Information

An opportunity to continue full-time study at a four-year State University of New York college is guaranteed to all New York residents who transfer directly from NCCC with an Associate’s Degree. Acceptance to a specific college or academic program is not guaranteed.
