The Career
The hospitality industry is one of the top economic drivers in every state in this country and over a three trillion dollar industry worldwide. Employment in this field is projected to continue a steep growth pattern through at least 2020, with educational credentials becoming ever more important for career advancement.
Niagara County is host to over 14 million visitors a year. The recent addition of casino gaming in Niagara Falls and economic development activities in Lockport and North Tonawanda, recognizing the Erie Canal as a premiere historical and recreational venue, have laid the foundation for tremendous growth in tourism.
The anticipated surge in the restaurant and hotel industries provides unique opportunities for graduates of the Hospitality Management program. The NCCC program introduces students to various segments of the hospitality industry with major emphasis on hotel operations, food service, and tourism management. Additional topics include convention and meetings management, recreation/leisure-time activities, and gaming.
