Applied Music Faculty

DESCRIPTION:

The Department of Music is looking for qualified instructors to become affiliate faculty as needed to provide instruction to music-majors and non-majors at all levels of skill and technique in any of the following areas: voice, piano, classical guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, flute, clarinet, trumpet, saxophone, violin, viola, violoncello, double bass, oboe, English horn, bassoon, French horn, trombone, tuba, organ, percussion, composition, instrumental conducting, and choral conducting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Music degree in performance; or a Bachelor’s degree in music and a Graduate Certificate in Performance or Master’s in music performance; ability to communicate with, perform with, and teach students at all levels of musicianship.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

M.M., DMA, or Graduate Performance Certificate in any of the specified areas; professional performance experience; previous college teaching experience.
