Nursing (Technical Assistant) Clinical Coordinator (Pending Grant Funding)

DESCRIPTION:

Full-time twelve month grant personnel para-professional position in the Nursing and Allied Health Department.

Responsibilities include; planning of clinical sites for nursing and allied health students, meet clinical agency needs according to rotation, act as liaison between college and clinical agency, attend clinical agency selection meetings, maintain communication with agencies related to instructor orientation, EMR access, and other related information for clinical, create and send the lists and related paperwork for clinical agencies for EMR access, send the lists for adherence to health records and annual flu vaccine, notify agencies of cancellation of clinical groups, assist with orientation and evaluation of clinical for part-time faculty, and attend professional workshops or continuing education programs pertinent to area of expertise or self-development. Current contractual annual salary is $43,811. Start date is September 2018.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree with a major in Nursing; current NYS licensure as an RN; recent (within previous five years) experience with community college clinical setting.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience teaching in a community college level nursing program. Recent clinical experience (within previous 5 years) in acute medical/surgical area. Master’s Degree in Nursing.
