NCCC Commencement Speaker Toellner Tells Grads to "Succeed, Lead, and Make a Difference"

"Optimism and opportunity" was the message given by Niagara County Community College Keynote Speaker James Toellner at the 50th annual Commencement Ceremony on Saturday May 10th in the NCCC gymnasium on the Sanborn campus. Toellner, a 1978 NCCC alumnus and general manager and president of WGRZ-TV, addressed the crowd of 1,500 driving home the point "that the only way to accomplish anything is to plot your course, to make a difference."

361 graduates walked the stage and received diplomas from NCCC President Dr. James P. Klyczek, Trustee Gina I. Virtuoso and Trustee James W. Ward. The Master of Ceremonies was Board Chairperson Henry F. Wojtaszek and participating in the program were Board of Trustee members Vincent R. Ginestre, Kevin C. Schuler, Sheila Smith, and Malcolm Needler.
