Niagara County Community College Physical Education Major Josh Wooldridge was recently selected to serve on the Executive Council of the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NYSAHPERD) as the President-elect of the Future Professionals section.  He is the first community college student ever selected to serve on the Association’s Executive Council, which is responsible for setting policy, determining the location for the annual conference and establishing the conference program.  Wooldridge was also the first community college student ever selected to participate in the Future Professionals Summer Leadership Conference, a three-day retreat for students held in 2013.

Wooldridge currently serves as President of the NCCC Physical Education Major’s club and was selected as “Physical Education Major of the Month” on two occasions.  He was the volunteer coordinator for the successful “Run for Rob”, a fundraising event held on the NCCC campus last spring that raised over $700 for a NCCC student afflicted with e-coli poisoning.

Wooldridge is originally from Booneville, MS and currently lives in Niagara Falls, NY.
