The following information has been assembled to assist those students who have been accepted into the Dual Admission program with SUNY Fredonia. By completing the following courses, students will fulfill the requirements for the NCCC associate degree listed above, and simultaneously complete the first two years of the Fredonia baccalaureate degree listed above. DUAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Completion of the AA degree in the related Liberal Arts curriculum including all courses listed on the dual admission curriculum guide with a minimum GPA of 2.75 overall.
ACADEMIC CONCENTRATION: All students will complete an academic concentration of 30 or more credit hours with at least 18 hours of Junior/Senior level coursework. The following concentrations are available: Art, English, French, Mathematics, Music, Science, Social Studies, and Spanish. NCCC courses that may meet concentration requirements at Fredonia are listed on the academic concentration guidesheet.
STUDENT TEACHING: Student teaching at Fredonia occurs over two semesters in the student's professional (senior) year . All concentration area courses must be completed prior to entering the final year. Therefore, transfer students holding AA degrees should expect to finish their concentration courses in their first year at Fredonia.
SUNY GENERAL EDUCATION 2000 REQUIREMENTS (for students who started college in the Fall 2000 semester or later). The State University of New York's General Education Requirement applies to all state-operated institutions offering undergraduate degrees. It requires baccalaureate degree candidates, as a condition of graduation, to complete a General Education program of no fewer than 30 credit hours specifically designed to achieve the student learning outcomes in ten knowledge areas and two competencies, as specified below:

Community Colleges are not bound by the 30 credit hour requirement; however, students who plan to start at a community college and then transfer to a SUNY college to earn their baccalaureate degree should complete as many general education courses as they can while they are at the community college.
