The NCCC Faculty Association advocates practical means of protecting and advancing the best interests of
higher education in Niagara County, such as enhancing the academic climate of the College, bettering educational
opportunities, and maintaining academic freedom for both students and faculty in the pursuit of knowledge and the
acquisition of skills and values. The NCCC Faculty Association represents faculty professionals, non-ranked professionals, and para-professionals at Niagara County Community College in collective bargaining concerning the terms and conditions of their employment. |

Who is eligible for membership? Membership in the Faculty Association is open to all full-time professionals (faculty, librarians, and counselors), para- professionals (technical assistants), and non-ranked professionals in the bargaining unit. Who may run for the Board of Directors? All Faculty Association members in good standing are eligible to run for office. Nominations are made by a Nominating Committee before the annual elections; however, nominations may be made from the floor at the annual meeting if the nominator secures the nominee's permission. When are elections? Elections are held annually. One-half the members of the Board of Directors and officers stand for election each year at the May General Meting and Elections. What are dues? Dues are determined annually by the membership at the recommendation of the Board of Directors. Dues are deducted bi-weekly in equal amounts through payroll deduction during academic year (September-June). With what organizations is the Faculty Association affiliated? It is an affiliate of NEA/NY and NEA, the National Education Association. The College is part of the State University of New York (SUNY). |
