NCCC Alumni Association Seeking Nominations for Prestigious Awards

The Niagara County Community College Alumni Association is seeking nominations for three awards; the Distinguished Alumni Award, the G.O.L.D. (Graduate of the Last Decade) Award and the Norman W. Sinclair Community Service Award. Friday, April 15 is the deadline for nominations for the G.O.L.D Award to be presented at the NCCC commencement ceremony in May. Friday, May 13 is the deadline for the Distinguished Alumni and the Norman Sinclair award nominations, which will be presented at the NCCC Foundation Scholarship Gala on October 15, 2011.

The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented each year to those who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their life, career, and volunteer activities. Sixty-five alumni have previously received this award. The 2010 award was given to Eric L. Gansworth'86. The G.O.L.D. Award recognizes an alumnus who graduated from NCCC within the past 10 years (2001 - 2010) who has excelled in his/her career soon after graduation. Nomination forms for this award are available online at http://www.niagaracc.suny.edu/foundation-alumni/gold.php

The Norman W. Sinclair Community Service Award is presented to recognize achievements of individuals, organizations or companies making outstanding contributions to Niagara County Community College and the surrounding community.
