MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the NCCC Health & Physical Education Club is to enhance professional development through involvement in recreation and community service.
 


WHAT IS THE PHYS-ED CLUB?
The mission of the NCCC Health & Physical Education Club is to enhance professional development through involvement in recreation and community service.

All Health Studies and Physical Education Studies majors are strongly encouraged to get involved with the Health & Physical Education Club.

The club offers various activities throughout the school year in which any student can be involved. Activities include, white water rafting, NHL hockey games, indoor rock climbing and hiking.

Activities may vary from year to year. Other clubs are also available through student activities.
 

MEETINGS
We will meet at various times throughout the semester.  Dates and times will be posted on the Health & Physical Education board located in H-Building.

HEALTH & PHYSICAL EDUCATION AWARDS
The Health & Physical Education Major of the Year Award is presented to an individual who excels in all of the above criteria. This person is selected by the Health & Physical Education division faculty members.
Each month during the academic year, a Physical Education Major of the Month Award is also presented by the HPE faculty.

HOW TO BECOME A HEALTH & PHYSICAL EDUCATION MAJOR OF THE MONTH
 
Criteria for Selection:
  1. Active participation and accomplishments with the Physical Education/Athletics Club.
  2. Active participation in professional development activities, conferences, and workshops
  3. Volunteerism on and off campus
  4. Academic achievement
  5. Leadership in the classroom
  6. Professional Development

Individuals will be selected upon recommendations of HPE faculty members.
