 Admission Requirements
Niagara County Community College requires the following items for admission to the College. International [F-1] students must be full-time with a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester, and must be officially accepted (matriculated) into a degree program.

Acceptance into a degree program is based on the following items:
  1. Official High School transcript in certified English translation with proof of High School graduation; this transcript should be sent with your NCCC application
     
  2. Immunization certificate for measles/mumps & rubella, and meningitis
     
  3. Compass Placement tests for Writing, Mathematics, and Reading. Contact the the Testing Center at (716)614-6728 to schedule an appointment to complete the tests.
     
  4. International Student Application with:
    • Certified bank statement confirming a minimum of $17,500 in US funds for expenses
    • Written essay about educational goals and reasons for attending NCCC
    • TOEFL score of 500 paper/173 computer or IBT score of 61 or better
All application information must be received by JULY 15 to begin in a Fall Semester (September 1), and received by NOVEMBER 15 to begin in a Spring Semester (Jan. 20).

Please remember to allow as much time as possible due to Consulate/Embassy Holidays, vacations, and the increased review of all student visa applications. Canadian students are not required to visit the Consulate.

There is also a $100 SEVIS fee paid (Form I-901)that must be paid before applying for a visa (Canadian students must pay the fee but no visa is required); students may pay the fee via the Internet to the Dept. of Homeland Security. Consulates will not issue your visa if you do not produce a receipt that the fee has been paid.

International students must complete the following SUNY forms:
  1. Undergraduate Admission Application
  2. FSA-2 Autobiographical Essay
  3. FSA-3 English Proficiency Report
  4. FSA-4 Foreign Student Financial Statement
  5. Foreign Student Previous Education

NOTE: These are print-only forms and once completed, originals must be mailed to the NCCC Office of Enrollment Services/International Admissions. Canadian students with English as their first language do not need to complete the "English Proficiency Report."

Canadian Flag Canadian Students
Canadian students are not required to submit a TOEFL score as long as English is their first/native language. Canadian students may also submit certified bank statement of a minimum of $8,000 in US equivalent funds for expenses. The requirements for submission of an official high school transcript, immunization, Compass placement tests, and the written essay about educational goals still apply.
