The Library Instruction (LI) Program's most important instructional goal is to teach Niagara County Community College students information seeking skills. To achieve this goal, the LI Program uses information literacy as a framework for instruction. Within this framework librarians help students identify their information needs and teach students how to actively search for, locate, evaluate, and synthesize relevant information. Question analysis, information gathering and organization, and critical evaluation of source material are integrated throughout the LI Program.
