 The Career

Horticulture has enjoyed continued growth on the Niagara Frontier. As the building of homes and businesses increases, so does the need for landscaping and the selling of horticultural products and services.
Ornamental Horticulture
NCCC's horticulture program includes both theory and practical hands-on experience in the production, installation, and maintenance of nursery and greenhouse plants. Course material provides students with basic knowledge in plant science, equipment operation, and maintenance, pest control, and landscape design, installation, construction and maintenance, greenhouse production and floral design.

NCCC graduates are prepared for employment in nurseries, garden centers, greenhouses, landscape and lawn care industries, florist shops, parks, and golf courses.
