The NCCC Approach
The Liberal Arts: Math & Science curriculum is a program for students interested in mathematics and science to begin their college experience. The courses available provide the necessary concepts and foundations for many college majors. The majority of students in this curriculum transfer to baccalaureate programs in math, science or engineering after completion of their studies at Niagara County Community College.
While emphasizing mathematics and science, the Liberal Arts and Sciences: Math and Science curriculum allows individuals to explore a wide range of academic disciplines and varied approaches to learning about the world around them. Science and mathematics are no longer isolated but take their place alongside the social sciences, fine arts, humanities and literature. To succeed in our world, people must have an understanding of math and science as well as knowledge of how to communicate that understanding to others. The NCCC approach aims to prepare students to succeed in such a world.
NCCC is distinguished by its faculty and modern facilities dedicated to the study of mathematics and science. The Liberal Arts and Sciences: Math and Science curriculum is a broad-based program designed to educate students in the basic principles of math and science and enable them to proceed to a study of the latest advances in their chosen field.
