PART-TIME ASSISTANT TEACHERS, NCCC CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER – The NCCC Child Development Center, an NAEYC Accredited Center, is requesting applications for Part-time Assistant Teachers (grant-funded positions) to work during the academic year only (September – May), Monday through Friday (hours not to exceed 30 hours per week, on average). Applications will be kept on file and reviewed as needs arise. The toddler classroom serves children ages 18 months - 36 months old. Duties include but are not limited to: planning and preparing the learning environment; setting up interest centers, preparing needed materials and supplies; assisting children in activities; record keeping; general housekeeping; serving meals, planning and preparing parent involvement activities, and center recruitment. Current remuneration is $9.00 per hour.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School graduate; minimum 19 years of age; experience working with groups of children in a child care center.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services or related field; and/or CDA Credential; BOCES Early Childhood Education graduate; successful completion of courses in Early Childhood Education from an accredited institution of higher education; minimum of 1 year’s experience working with toddlers in a child care center.
