NCCC's Bowen Named to Horizon Health Services Board
SANBORN, N.Y. (Sept. 30) — Niagara County Community College’s Vice President of Workforce Development Randy Bowen was recently named to the boards of directors of Horizon Health Services and Horizon Village.
“I have been very fortunate in my life and I feel it’s time for me to give back to my community,” Bowen said.
After visiting the facility and hearing clients speak openly about their lives and their goals to recover from their addictions, Bowen said he felt encouraged to become involved with Horizons Health Services.
“It’s a very intense program. They’re going from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day. The work I saw being done was inspiring,” he said.
Horizon Health Services is the largest and most comprehensive provider of fully integrated mental health, behavioral health, chemical dependency, medical and vocational treatment and recovery services in Western New York. Horizon Village, the organization’s 50-bed in-patient residential treatment center located in Sanborn, serves chemically dependent adults throughout the eight-county Western New York area.
As Vice President of Workforce Development, Bowen is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the college’s small business development center, workforce training, community development, continuing education and pre-collegiate programs.
