NCCC Offering Intro to Culinary Basics for Kids
SANBORN, N.Y. (March 23, 2009) – The Niagara County Community College Office of Continuing Education is offering a class “Kids are Cooking! Introduction to Culinary Basics” April 7 and 9 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. for children and parents interested in a beginners guide to mastering the kitchen.
The class is geared towards families in an activity everyone can share creative time together. In no time kids will be peeling and chopping their way to success. Join your child in the professional kitchens of Niagara Culinary Institute to learn culinary basics as well as create fun and tasty seasonal recipes. The recipes chosen will cover many essential culinary skills and create a confident, self-sufficient budding chef. Learn to create healthy appetizers, easy entrees and fun desserts. Basic knife skills, kitchen safety, sanitation and proper food storage will be discussed.
Space is limited, so please call the Office of Continuing Education at 614-6470 to reserve space. Registration is $40 with a $5 per person food cost the day of class.
