Monster.com Founder to be Commencement Speaker

SANBORN, N.Y. (April 8, 2009) — The founder and former CEO of Monster.com and jeff taylorEons.com Jeff Taylor will be Niagara County Community College’s commencement speaker May 16.

Recognized as an innovator and visionary in both Internet and careers industries, Taylor reinvented the way the world looks for employment. His “monster idea,” conceived at the dawn of the World Wide Web, quickly became one of the first dot-com companies (454th registered domain on the Web) and has grown into the world’s leading online career site. Today, the Monster global network consists of 22 local content and language sites in 20 countries and serves 20 million visitors monthly.

A restless big picture entrepreneur, Taylor has tapped into the burgeoning generation of boomers, once again harnessing the power of the Internet and launched Eons.com, an innovative media company that challenges boomers and seniors to live the biggest life possible. By offering a spirited online community, experts, tips, and information created specifically for adults age 50-and-older, Eons.com encourages boomers to follow their dreams, celebrate their accomplishments and make the most of today.
