NCCC President James P. Klyczek Supports Governor David Paterson’s Higher Education Empowerment and Innovation Act
New York Governor David Paterson’s Higher Education Empowerment and Innovation Act, which was released today, has the support of Niagara County Community College President James P. Klyczek.
“Governor Paterson’s proposal has far reaching and positive implications for the entire SUNY system and certainly Niagara County Community College,” stated President James P. Klyczek. “This proposal allows individual institutions to better control their own destiny and create partnerships with the private sector that could mean significant cost savings and more efficient financial management. It is critical during these financially challenged times to seek out new and creative business relationships that make institutions of higher education like Niagara County Community College more competitive and attractive to perspective students. I applaud Governor Paterson on his bold plan and the SUNY Board of Trustees for their recommendations to the Governor on which many of these initiatives are based.”
