Kathie Kreppenneck and Maegan Kivler Receive President’s Medallion Award at NCCC Student Life Awards Dinner
Niagara County Community College President James P. Klyczek presented Kathie Kreppenneck and Maegan Kivler with the Presidents Medallion Award at the Annual Student Life Awards Dinner held Wednesday night, May 5th, in the College Dining Hall.
The President’s Medallion Award is presented each spring to a graduating sophomore student who has contributed significantly to the development of co- curricular programs at NCCC. The President’s Medallion recognizes academic achievement along with outstanding contribution and achievement beyond the classroom.
Kreppenneck, a student athlete, is Co-Captain of the Women’s Volleyball team which finished in 4th place at the National NJCAA tournament and received 2nd team all-conference and 2nd team all region honors. Kathie volunteers with a special education class and with campus activities and serves as the Student Senate Secretary, is a member of the budget committee, a member of the Teacher Education Club and has been on the Dean’s List for the past 2 semesters with a GPA of 3.42.
Maegan Kivler is secretary of the NCCC College Association Board of Directors, chairman of the Student Senate Budget and Constitution Committees. Maegan serves as a Student Ambassador, assisting with numerous college-wide events, performs on and off campus with the NCCC All College Choir and is a member of the National Society for Leadership and Success. Maegan was also the 2009 -2010 Student Senate President while accumulating a GPA of 3.47.
