Wellness Center

Health Services

Wellness CenterA well-equipped Health Services Center, located in the Wellness Center, is available to provide services for the college community. Registered nurses are available for emergency treatment of injuries, assessment and care of illness, referrals, and health/wellness counseling. A supply of "over-the-counter" medications is available in the Center for self use.

Health Insurance

All students are required to have (at least) accident insurance coverage and are automatically charged a minimal fee. Students who carry current insurance coverage may sign a waiver card and the fee will be removed. (Students signing the waiver card must provide the name of their current insurance provider and policy number.) Optional Basic Sickness and Supplemental Medical Insurance is available to all students as well.

Immunizations & Physicals

Students will not be allowed to register for classes until compliance with the NYS Public Health Laws has been satisfied. A hold will be placed on the student’s account for the duration of non-compliance. The hold will be lifted upon submission of required documentation. Individual forms, as well as the entire ‘Health Services Packet’, can also be found on the Wellness Center page under the 'forms' tab.

H1N1/Influenza Information

We need to work together to ensure the NCCC community is prepared and protected in the event we are impacted by cases of influenza of any type. Please note that the symptoms of Influenza type A, the common cold, and the H1N1 Influenza are very similar. For updated information on the 2010-2011 flu season, see the CDC Seasonal Flu website at: http://www.cdc.gov/flu/

Handicapped Parking

Handicapped parking permits must be obtained through your town. This includes permanent and temporary permits.
