International Student Services
The NCCC community welcomes international students from all over the world to our campus to take part in the excellent academic opportunities available here. Services for new international students are provided by Admissions, while continuing international student services are provided by Student Development.
Student Development is committed to supporting the needs of our international student population at NCCC. International students are a valuable asset to the NCCC community. They bring unique perspectives and experiences to the academic and social culture of the College and enhance the learning experiences of their academic peers. International students with questions or concerns about maintaining legal status in the United States, seeking authorization for off-campus employment, or any number of issues related to their international status should contact Student Development and make an appointment with a Designated School Official (DSO).
The DSO provides continuing students with information regarding conditions for maintaining the F-1 student status, in addition to monitoring international students to ensure full compliance with Federal law and SEVIS monitoring requirements. Staff is sensitive to issues that are unique to the international student population, including those related to finances, housing, social support, and academic and cultural orientation. For international students needing additional support in language skills, ESL courses are offered by the Division of Humanities.
International students may contact the DSO by calling 716-614-6290 or coming in to A-144 to make an appointment.
