Engineering Technology
The Engineering Technology Tech-Prep program is designed
to give students an edge in completing their college and career
interests after high school. The program has a strong history and
enrollment since classes were first introduced in high schools in
1993-94.
Articulated courses and sequences were developed in
the following areas: Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD),
Mechanical Drawing, Drawing and Design for Production (DDP), Introduction
to Digital Electronics Systems, Introduction to Robotics and Technical
Calculations.
These courses are offered in regional high schools
in Niagara and northern Erie Counties that allow students to gain
Advanced College credits upon enrolling at NCCC in career programs
within the Technology Department.
Students can earn
anywhere from 2 - 9 hours of college credit depending on their focus
and completion of high school courses.
Students are encouraged to discuss what courses at
their high school are eligible for NCCC credit by talking to their
Technology teacher or school counselor or click on the Articulation
Agreement area of the web site for the latest information and updates.
