Emergency Medical Services

Emergency Medical Professionals are trained to recognize, assess, and manage emergencies of acutely ill or severly injured patients. They are the first responders to a medical or traumatic emergency, providing patient care and then transporting the sick or injured to appropriate medical facilities.

 Program Requirements:

  • All students enrolled in the NCCC Emergency Medical Services Program are required to complete the Physician's Physical for Clinical Rotation.  Students cannot participate in clinical (hospital or ambulance) sessions until this document is completed and approved by the NCCC Wellness Center located in C-122.  The Physician's Physical for Clinical Rotation is the only form accepted and is available on the first night of class.

  • Attendance is mandatory for all sessions.

  • Students are required to purchase course textbooks (available at the College Bookstore).

  • Please register for EMS courses at least one week prior to the start date.  Payment must accompany your registration form.
