Marketing Managerial Basics
This 9 credit micro-credential offers an easily accessible pathway to education and additional skills for those interested in business organization trends, principles, functions and practices. This micro-credential can be a starting point for small business owners. Discussions will include: the role of marketing in an economic capitalistic system; marketing concept and how it is used in the development of the marketing mix; careers related to marketing and advertising; and a myriad of other topics related to marketing managerial basics.
The Marketing Managerial Basics micro-credential is comprised of the following courses:
- BUS 101 – Organization & Management 3 credits
- BUS 113 – Fundamentals of Marketing 3 credits
- BUS 135 – Fundamentals of Advertising 3 credits
Entrepreneurial Basics
This 9 credit micro-credential is geared towards small business owners seeking strategies and practices that focus on managing a small business while also seeking to further one’s education at SUNY Niagara. Discussions will include but not limited to: demonstrating a basic understanding of fundamental managerial principles; relating services to ecological/social issues; relating services and citizenship to the role of profit.
The Entrepreneurial Basics micro-credential is comprised of the following courses:
- BUS 101 – Organization & Management 3 credits
- BUS 113 – Fundamentals of Marketing 3 credits
- BUS 122 – Small Business Management 3 credits
Global Management Skills
In this 9 credit micro-credential, students will explore the impact of technological trends in international business. Upon completion of this micro-credential, students will be able to classify the fundamental managerial principles and practices as they relate to international operations. They will also be able to analyze the potential opportunities and obstacles in the international business arena.
The Global Management Skills micro-credential is comprised of the following courses:
- BUS 101 – Organization & Management 3 credits
- BUS 113 – Fundamentals of Marketing 3 credits
- BUS 103 – Introduction to International Business 3 credits
In order to earn the microcredential, students must earn a grade of C or higher in each course.
These microcredentials are setup with options enabling students to complete them entirely online.
