Substance Abuse Services Microcredential
The Substance Abuse Services badge/microcredential consists of 4 core courses in Chemical Dependency Counseling for those working in the field of addictive disorders or those wishing to seek employment in that field. Many will most probably continue on to seek their CASAC-T (credential in alcoholism and substance abuse counseling-trainee) offered by the State of New York, or the SUNY Niagara certificate program, Chemical Dependency Counseling, the completion of which qualifies one to sit for the NYS CASAC-T exam. Students may also choose to go on to the 64 credit Associates Degree in Human Services offered by SUNY Niagara.
