May 2023 Honors Graduates

The Niagara County Community Honors Institute provides an enriching and challenging academic experience through unique coursework that stresses an interactive learning experience where students acquire a creative and comprehensive understanding of concepts in an interdisciplinary and global context.  Our students think critically, hone research skills, demonstrate leadership, and develop a commitment to civic responsibility.

The Honors Institute also seeks to enhance the educational and scholarship opportunities for students who seek a four-year degree after attending Niagara County Community College.

The Honors Institute houses the President’s Scholars Program and Honors Program.  Students interested in participating in a cohesive honors experience at Niagara County Community College and earning the Honors designation on their diploma, may enroll in the Honors Institute’s all-college Presidential scholars program (requires 18 honors credit including a service learning project) or the traditional honors Program (requires 14 honors credits).

Rachel Shanor

Being a part of the Honors Institute at NCCC has been one of the greatest highlights of my college career. Through my work in Honors courses, I've made great connections with my professors, improved my academic skills, and have met so many wonderful people. My experience as an Honors Institute member will be something I cherish for a lifetime.
