How Wolf Packed Works

REGISTER FOR CLASSES

Upon registering for courses, you will be automatically enrolled into the program. Once you’ve successfully selected your courses, the bookstore will start preparing your order.

VERIFY YOUR ORDER

Starting 30 days before the first day of classes, you will receive an email to verify your order and select your fulfillment preference or click on the link below.

GET YOUR TEXTBOOKS

An email notification will be sent when your order is ready for pickup or when it ships. Your digital materials will be delivered for your course(s) through Brightspace.

What is Wolf Packed?

  • Wolf Packed is SUNY Niagara’s course material delivery program that provides access toyour required course materials before the first day of class.
  • The cost of your required course materials is included as a per credit hour charge onyour Schedule/Bill.

What is the Cost?

  • Non-culinary majors pay $22 per credit hour for Wolf
  • Culinary majors pay $27 per credit hour for Wolf
  • Open Educational Resources (OER)
    • Non-culinary courses provide a refund of $22 per credit
    • Culinary courses provide a refund of $27 per credit
  • Even if a course is listed as not having a textbook, you will still pay the per credit hour Wolf Packed charge, unless the course uses OER materials.

How Wolf Packed Works

You are automatically enrolled when you register for courses.

An email will be sent to you to verify your order and select how to receive physical items(pick up or delivery). You do not have to verify digital materials as they will be deliveredthrough the LMS Brightspace inside your course.

Once verified, the bookstore will prepare your course materials in a convenient package and send an email notification that your physical items are ready for pickup orshipment.

At the end of the semester, the bookstore will send reminders to return any rented materials.

For NFCI programs, knife and baking & pastry kits are considered consumable and not subject to return.

What is OER?

OER stands for Open Educational Resources. Your instructor will provide all OER course materials inside the LMS Brightspace. Students who remain opted in to Wolf Pack will receive a refund per OER credit hour.

How to Check Course for OER?

Visit Suny Niagara homepage 
Click on Academics→Course Offering→ select a term for class search.
Click on Advanced search→ type in subject, course number, and instructor (information is listed on your course schedule→ press enter
Under Attribute column→ Check for Open Education Resources
You can also click on the title of the course→ click on fees→ it will show Course Material OER Credit.

How to Verify Your Order

Enrollment in Wolf Packed is automatic; however, action is required on your part before your physical course materials are available for pickup or delivery. You do not have to verify digital materials as they will be delivered through the LMS Brightspace inside your course. Use the link below and click on the gold SIGN IN TO VERIFY YOUR ORDER box.

I never Verified My Order

Students will receive emails from the bookstore reminding them to verify their orders. If a student does not verify their order, physical rental materials will not be available for pickup at the bookstore until they do. However, digital materials can be accessed in the LMS Brightspace without needing to verify the order. If you don’t opt out, students will be charged the Wolf Pack fee.

How to Opt-Out of Wolf Packed:

  • Before opting out, please review the chart of upcoming dates below. You have the option to opt-out of this program by clicking here
  • All students who opt out will lose access to digital materials inside Brightspace.
  • Return any physical materials within 48 hours to avoid Wolf Packed charges on your account. These charges will be removed from your bill after the opt out period ends.

  • Spring SFA start date: 12/17/24
  • Fall Rental Return Due date: 12/20/24
  • Winter Opt Out start date: 12/18/24
  • Spring FDC Orders start date: 12/22/24
  • Winter Opt Out end date: 1/9/25
  • Spring Opt Out start date: 1/6/25
  • Spring Opt Out end date: 2/11/25
  • Spring SFA end date: 2/20/25

What if I didn’t Opt-Out?

If a student doesn’t opt-out during the designated period, they will be charged for course materials.

How to Return Rental Textbooks?

Return rental materials at the bookstore or in the drop box located outside the bookstore. Rentals must be returned by the end of the final week of the semester.

Yes, program provides you with the option to purchase textbooks at a reduced rate during the return period.
