Frequently Asked Questions

How does pricing for a virtual meat raffle compare to an in-person meat raffle?

Admission to an in-person meat raffle typically ranges from $5 – $10. However, in order to participate in each round, you would then spend an additional $1 – $3 per spin (3 spins per round). Don’t forget your bonus rounds which would typically cost between $3 – $5 each! This already puts your total over our $50 price point for the virtual event and doesn’t include any tickets for the 50/50 or basket raffles. Now that’s a great deal!

Do I need a Facebook to participate in this event?

No! You do not need to have Facebook in order to watch this event. Anyone with or without a Facebook account can watch a Facebook live video. In addition, the video will also be posted on our website on a later date and can be accessed by anyone.

Can I still participate even if I’m not available on Friday, November 6th?

Absolutely! The Facebook Live video will be available on our website to watch at a later time. Don’t feel like watching? No problem! Winners will also be emailed to notify you that you have won an item during our meat raffle!

How do I find out what my bidder number is once I purchase a package?

Bidder numbers will be emailed from the alumni@niagaracc.suny.edu email address no later than the morning of November 6th (Virtual Meat Raffle day).

When will purchasers receive confirmation of their package purchase?

Purchasers will receive an email 1-2 business days at the latest after they have purchased their packages to confirm their order. Your bidder numbers will be emailed from the alumni@niagaracc.suny.edu email address no later than the morning of November 6th (Virtual Meat Raffle day).

What are some of the items I could win during the Virtual Meat Raffle and where are they from?

All items will be purchased from Pellicano’s Marketplace and you will have a chance to win steak, chicken, pork, sausage, bacon, lobster tails, turkey, pizza logs, chicken fingers, bacon, and more bacon! Yum!

How do I pick up my winnings?

Winners will pick up their items from NCCC (3111 Saunders Settlement Rd Sanborn, NY 14132). The pickup date and time will be determined once we are closer to the event day. You must enter through the Learning Commons door on the front side of the campus. Masks are required to enter the College.

What happens if I am unavailable to pick up my winnings on the scheduled date?

Please contact Alli Korta in the NCCC Alumni Association to discuss this issue. While we can be flexible, any winnings not picked up within a week of the pickup date will be donated back to the College.

I am not an alum of NCCC. Can I still participate in this event?

Of course! Our events are open to not only alumni, but students, employees, and friends of the College.

I live out of town. Can I still participate in this event?

Of course! If you win during our virtual meat raffle, we will work with you to find a store locally in your area and purchase a gift card for the value of the item you won.

Virtual Watch Party Tips

Although we’re disappointed to not be able to host all of our attendees in-person, we still want to provide you with the best event experience possible in a safe and socially distant environment! Check out our virtual watch party tips:

  • Host a small watch party with your close friends and family to view the raffle live and celebrate your winnings.
  • Don’t forget to purchase your favorite snacks and drinks to enjoy.
  • Make sure to represent your NCCC pride by wearing your blue and gold thunderwolves gear.
  • Take photos of your watch party and share them with us on social media by tagging the NCCC Alumni Association! We may even feature the photos then our pages.
  • Make sure your Wi-Fi is working so you can access the video online
  • Fun trash talking is encouraged, but make sure to keep it clean and appropriate as this a family-friendly event.
