2018 Commencement
Just over one thousand students filed for graduation and 378 students received diplomas from Interim President Dr. William Murabito, Board Chairperson William Ross, Trustee Bonnie Sloma, Trustee Sheila Smith, Trustee Jason Cafarella, Trustee Bradley Rowles, and Trustee Gina Virtuoso in the 54th annual Commencement Ceremonies on Saturday, May 12th. Board of Trustees Chair Bill Ross served as Master of Ceremonies for the day, with Trustee Vincent Ginestre assisting in the program. The first ceremony represented graduates from the Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts Division as well as Humanities and Social Sciences, with Stephen Eden, the Director of the Culinary and Hospitality Council at Delaware North as keynote speaker. At the second ceremony, Science, Health and Mathematics, and Business Technology and the Arts graduates enjoyed a keynote speech by New York State Senator, Robert Ortt. The Nursing and Allied Health graduates participated in the final ceremony of the day, listening to the experience of fellow SUNY Niagara graduate and current Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, JoAnn Pellegrino as keynote speaker.
