John D Strong
Chief Diversity and Equity Officer

John D Strong received his undergraduate degree from Canisius College in Physical Education and his Master’s Degree in Education from Walden University with a concentration in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. He currently Chairs the NCCC Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Committee and has been a part of it since its inception in 2016. He is also the current Chair of the Society of Health And Physical Education America’s Special Interest Group on Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion which has since become a standing Committee of that national organization. John’s persistence in the area of JEDI has been reflected in other similar roles at the state and local levels for almost ten years and he is proud to serve at NCCC as our newest Chief Diversity and Equity Officer.
