About the Nerds

Nerds Gone Wild is an award-winning 80s cover band based in Buffalo, New York. They specialize in delivering high-energy and interactive performances of classic and new-wave music from eras gone by.

Featuring NCCC Alum Ed Tabone, the Nerds will offer an evening of dance nostalgia, to help conclude our 60th-year anniversary celebration. Let’s get wild!

Nerds Gone Wild FAQs

⁃ Can I smoke at the show?

NCCC is a Tobacco Free Campus. The use of all tobacco products (including electronic smoking devices) are prohibited on campus property.

⁃ Can I bring my pet to the show?

No pets are allowed on campus except for certified therapy companions.

⁃ Can I really come to this event for free?

Yes. It’s a birthday party! Attendance is free.

⁃ Is there a fee for parking?

No. Parking is free, too.

⁃ How should I enter the campus for this event?

Guests should enter through the Town Line Road entrance and park in Lots 4, 5, 6 or 7. Please refer to the attached map.

⁃ Will there be restrooms on site?

Yes! There will be portable toilets onsite. Please see the attached map for specific locations.

⁃ Can I bring my own food or drinks?

Outside alcohol is not permitted, and no coolers are allowed. Guests can bring their own snacks yet please note food trucks will be on site.  NCCC will be selling beer, seltzers, soft drinks and water with all proceeds to benefit the NCCC Veterans Memorial Park.

⁃ What food trucks will be there?

Steaksters, The Great Foodini, Mother Cluckers, and House of Munch will be on campus for the event!

⁃ Is there a special opportunity for alumni?

Alumni can purchase a $20 ticket for the hospitality tent.  Ticket includes two beverages and light snacks; registration before event is necessary. Wristbands will be distributed at the alumni tent’s check-in table. Those can be purchased online here.

⁃ Can Alumni pay cash for a hospitality tent ticket on site?

Absolutely!

⁃ Do I need ID?

Anyone purchasing alcoholic beverage will need a government-issued ID if you are of legal drinking age and plan to purchase alcoholic drinks.

⁃ Will there be seating?

All guests should bring their own folding chair; the stage and viewing areas will take place in a parking lot.

⁃ When should I get there?

Our venue opens at 5:30 p.m. the opening act starts at 6:30 p.m.

⁃ What if it rains?

A light drizzle won’t stop the party. If there’s a downpour, lightning or other potentially dangerous weather condition, then that could cause us to cancel or cut the event short.

⁃ How can I become an event sponsor?

⁃ Can we walk through the buildings while we are here?

Yes! The campus academic buildings will be open for concert attendees.
