Professional Development Days 2025

Thank you for your interest in attending the 2025 SUNY Niagara Professional Development Days. The Professional Development Committee schedules programs, which fulfill the following definition of Professional Development Days as defined in the Faculty Association Contract: “Time for faculty to participate in individual or group activities intended to improve instructional subject area or professional competencies and to provide opportunities for professional growth and renewal.”

Niagara University’s 18th Annual CCTL Conference on Teaching and Learning

January 14, 2024

Interested SUNY Niagara faculty are eligible to attend this conference.  The registration cost of $55 will be paid by SUNY Niagara.  Please register through the link below.

SUNY Niagara registrants must use their own credit card to pay for conference and then will need to fill out the appropriate information on the reimbursement voucher linked below and submit it with a copy of the receipt to Academic Affairs for reimbursement.

Description: Educators from across the United States and Canada who can contribute their experience and expertise with active and integrative learning within individual courses, curricula, or programs, and discuss how it is best encouraged and assessed, are invited to submit proposals for presentations, workshops, panel discussions, and posters.

Professional Development Days help support SUNY Niagara’s commitment to complying with Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) standards including:

  • MSCHE Standard II – Ethics and Integrity – Criterion II.2: “An accredited institution possesses and demonstrates…a climate that fosters respect among students, faculty, staff, and administration from a range of diverse backgrounds, ideas, and perspectives.”
  • MSCHE Standard III – Design and Delivery of the Student Learning Experience – Criterion III.2.d: “An accredited institution possesses and demonstrates the following attributes or activities…student learning experiences that are designed, delivered, and assessed by faculty (full-time or part-time) and/or other appropriate professionals who are…provided with and utilize sufficient opportunities, resources, and support for professional growth and innovation.”

The committee has been hard at work to create a program that meets the needs and interests of the SUNY Niagara community. This year, you will find sessions that are informative, inspiring, and fun! We hope you enjoy this year’s offerings!
