June 8, 2021

On June 16, 2021, Ready, Set, Career – A half-day career readiness seminar for out-of-school youth will be hosted by SUNY Niagara’s Workforce Development G.O.A.L.S program at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute from 10am-3pm.

The event will bring together Niagara County youth ages 17-24, and professionals in the fields of Business and Finance, Healthcare, Hospitality and Tourism, Information Technology, Advanced Manufacturing and Trades. The purpose of the event is to identify student interest, values, and skills; help students gain insight into career interests and work preferences; explore careers of interest from home or at local worksites; find out what college majors lead to specific careers. Participation in the event is designed to provide G.O.A.L.S program participants with a paid work experience and assist employers with hiring needs to decrease unemployment in the area as we begin to recover from the economic effects of COVID-19.

To speak with the Grant Program Director, Rhonda Bivins-Talley regarding eligibility to enroll in the G.O.A.L.S program please call 716-614-6284 or 716-614-6236
