Gail Tylec, of North Tonawanda, newly appointed member of the SUNY Niagara Board of Trustees.

Governor Kathy Hochul has appointed former Dietetic Studies professor Gail Tylec of North Tonawanda to fill a vacancy on the SUNY Niagara Board of Trustees.  Tylec recently retired from SUNY Niagara after having been an employee for over 30 years.  While at the College, she served as a senior faculty member, coordinator of physical education studies, Chair of the Science, Health, and Mathematics Division, and the Acting Vice President for Academic Affairs.   In recognition of Tylec’s many contributions to SUNY Niagara, she received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service.  She was also honored as a Distinguished Alumni of the College.

Tylec’s term will start immediately and expire on June 30, 2025.

SUNY Niagara is one of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York, the largest public university system in the country. The College provides over 50 certificate and degree programs and is funded by the Niagara County Legislature, the State University of New York, and student tuition.
