SUNY Niagara Driver Training and Safety Courses

Driver Education – Spring 2024

The SUNY Niagara Driver Education Program is a total of 48 hours consisting of in-car observation, behind-the-wheel, and classroom training. Upon successful completion, most students are eligible for insurance discounts and a senior operator’s license.

Note:  Five-hour course IS included in instructional hours.

Hours of Instruction:  48 hours -24 of instruction and 24 in car (18 in-car observation, and 6 behind the wheel)

Location:  SUNY Niagara Main Campus, Room E-142
Cost:  $900

***Mandatory Classroom Session: Wednesdays 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. AND  Saturdays 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Students must attend ALL classes.
January: 24, 27, and 31
February: 3, 7, 10, 14, 17, 21, 24, and 28
March: 2, 6, 9, 13, 23

Driving Portion: Students will also need to choose ONE in-car session (all driving sessions are mandatory).  There is a limit of four (4) students per session.

Session 1:
Monday 4:00p.m. to 5:30p.m. & Saturday 8:30a.m. to 10:00a.m.
Monday -Jan 29/ Feb. 5,12,19,26 / March 4,11,18
Saturday – Jan 27/ Feb 3, 10, 17,24 / March 2,9,16

Session 2:
Tuesday 4:00p.m. to 5:30p.m. & Saturday 12:30p.m. to 2:00p.m.
Tuesday -Jan 30/ Feb. 6,13,20,27 / March 5,12,19
Saturday – Jan 27/ Feb 3, 10, 17,24 / March 2,9,16

Session 3:
Thursday 4:00p.m. to 5:30p.m. & Saturday 2:00p.m. to 3:30p.m.
Thursday – Feb. 1,8,15,22,29/ March 7,14,21
