Emergency Medical Services
Emergency Medical Professionals are trained to recognize, assess, and manage emergencies of acutely ill or severely injured patients. They are the first responders to a medical or traumatic emergency, providing patient care, and then transporting the sick or injured to appropriate medical facilities.
Program Requirements:
- Attendance is mandatory for all sessions.
- Please register for EMS courses at least one week prior to the start date. Payment must accompany your registration form.
- Students are required to purchase course textbooks (available at the College Bookstore).
EMT Basic Original & Refresher
Start: 05-19-21
State exam: 8-19-2021 (To be scheduled on your own at NYS approved testing site)
Days and times: Mondays & Wednesdays 6:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m.
Location: Niagara County Community College, Room CA101
Instructor: Sara McCartin – EMT
EMT Basic – $775
EMT Refresher – $425
*Both Basic and Refresher will be held on the same dates and times and will end on August 9th.*
Note
*Students are responsible for all textbooks and specialty certification costs to include but not limited to CPR, PALS, ACLS, and ITLS/PHTLS as applicable. Courses subject to cancellation. – Due to Covid-19, Lectures may be done by zoom.
