b'ACADEMICSSTUDY ABROADIn May 2024, a group of SUNY Niagara students, led by Professor Bridget Beilein, embarked on an unforgettable 10-day study abroad journey through Germany, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland. The trip provided students with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in European culture, history, and natural beauty.Beginning in Germany, the students explored the vibrant city of Munich, participating in a walking tour that included visits to iconic landmarks such as the Munich Residenz, Marienplatz, St. Peters Church, the BMW Museum, and the historic Hofbruhaus. Additionally, they gained a sobering understanding of Germanys past with a visit to the Dachau Concentration Camp.The journey continued to Austria, where the students explored the picturesque city of Innsbruck. From there, they crossed the border into Italy, where they embarked on walking tours of Murano and Burano, famous for their glassblowing and lace-making traditions. In Venice, they experienced the citys unique charm through a gondola ride and a walking tour. Milan, another Italian gem, offered the students a chance to visit the Piazza del Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Sforzesco Castle, and Sempione Park.The final leg of the trip took the students to Switzerland, where they explored the charming city of Lucerne, visiting the Lion Monument, Chapel Bridge, and taking a gondola ride to the top of Rigi Kulm Mountain.
