b'GETTING INVOLVEDCommunityCommunity Events at NFCIThe Niagara Falls Culinary Institute (NFCI) has increased its offerings of culinary classes and events to the community. Cooking classes were offered in reverse seared steak, jambalaya pasta, pan-roasted chicken, and cake decorating, just to name a few. Director of Community Education and Chef, Emily Lonigan, also introduced a series of wine-pairing dinners at the student-run restaurant, Savor. Guest chefs included Chef Bobby Anderson from season four of Hells Kitchen, Chef Eury Santana, a 2020 NFCI alumnus, as well as featured student-chefs.NFCI Professional Development DayIn December 2022, NFCI invited out-of-state high school culinary educators to a professional development day. NFCI chefs prepared a full day of demonstrations that showcased the institute including Innovative Cooking Skills (Sous Vide), Ice Carving, Showpieces and Sugar Sculptures, Culinary Cannabis, Wine Tasting and Hospitality, followed by dinner at our student-run restaurant, Savor.
