b'A Message from the PresidentThe 2021-2022 academic year marked the return of many of the special traditions that make Niagara County Community College such a special place to learn, work and grow. While online learning expanded during COVID and proved to be a valuable tool in educating students who thrive in a flexible or remote environment, we were happy to bring more students back to the classroom for in-person, hands-on experiences. In addition to experiential learning happening daily on campus, it was a pleasure to welcome fans back to cheer on our five Region III championship teams in mens and womens basketball, wrestling, baseball and golf.Events were in full swing, giving students a chance to participate in a well-rounded college experience through activities such as the Campus Activity Boards haunted house in the fall, the American Culinary Federation competition at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute, the spring Student Showcase and an in-person commencement in May. Students were even active off-campus representing the college through community service efforts, such as an alternative spring break trip to Key West, where students assisted with Habitat for Humanity, creating kits for first responders, and donating toiletries and necessities to local shelters.Whether in the classroom, on the athletic field, theatre, or in the community, NCCC students and graduates continue to stand out and shine brightly in all of their accomplishments.I am continually in awe of the achievements of our Thunderwolves, and I am proud to share a few highlights through the 2021-2022 annual report.SUNY Trustee Eunice A.
