The film received a Silver Telly for documentary, a Silver Telly for biography, and Bronze Telly Awards for the use ofGail Tylec, Professor Emeritamusic and music video. Lamont was also honored with a Silver Telly for directing. The Songpoet tells the story of legendaryEmeritus Award Recipientssinger-songwriter, Eric Andersen. Ten years in the making, theRecognized for their achievements indocumentary was filmed in the U.S., Canada, the Netherlands,teaching, as well as all they contributed France, Germany, and Norway.
