Deanna Alterio Brennen

Deanna BrennenBusiness Advisor

Deanna is a lifelong resident of Niagara County and graduated from Niagara University with a BS in Commerce.

Deanna has been active in the business community for many years. Her real-world experiences with owning and operating the Quote & Quill and Arbor Tree & Land Care (with her husband, Robert), established a foundation from which she could use her talents to help others achieve great results in the business world. Deanna is also a graduate of Leadership Niagara, class of 2000.

For more than fifteen years Deanna worked for the SUNY Niagara Small Business Development Center and assisted small business owners in turning their dreams into a reality. She served as Associate Director of Economic Development and International Trade and she was certified as a business advisor by the NYS Small Business Development Center in 1999.

In July 2007, Deanna was named President & CEO of the Niagara USA Chamber of Commerce, the largest business advocacy organization in Niagara County, and was instrumental in carrying out the organization’s mission to advance economic development, promote commerce and tourism, and provide a host of value-added services to chamber members.

In 2017, she followed her passion for assisting women through the invaluable services of the YWCA of the Niagara Frontier as the Vice President of Social Enterprise, delivering employment and training opportunities to the women served by the YWCA.

In light of her business acumen and her desire to give back to her community, Deanna has served on many boards of directors and important decision-making panels throughout her career. Currently, she is a member of the WNY Regional Economic Development Council, Co-chair of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative for the city of Niagara Falls, and the WNY Power Proceeds Allocation Board.

Deanna had the opportunity to rejoin the Niagara SBDC in September and continue her desire to assist small and medium-sized businesses, whether they are just starting out or looking to expand their current business venture.
