J Suzan Ben

Business Advisor

J Suzan Ben is a lifelong resident of Niagara County. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (University of Louisiana at Monroe) and an associate’s degree in Interior Design (Villa Maria College of Buffalo).

J Suzan utilized the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) when she opened a boutique in the Wilson Harbor while simultaneously running her interior design practice.  She learned firsthand how vital SBDC is to the success of starting and maintaining one’s own business.

J Suzan is an ardent supporter of women and felt privileged to serve on the YWCA of the Niagara Frontier board of directors before becoming Director of Carolyn’s House, a program of the YWCA.  As a director, J Suzan oversaw the daily operation, maintenance, and community perception of a 19-unit transitional housing facility for homeless women and children.

Always eager to serve and strengthen one’s community, J Suzan now has the opportunity to utilize her business skillset to assist small businesses to navigate through the many challenges presented during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020. J Suzan is ready to support and help businesses thrive, whether pivoting one’s business to adapt to said challenges, resourcing funding needed for business survival, or exploring the possibility of starting a business
