Kevin Clark

Chairperson

Appointed 2018 / Current term expires 2025

Kevin Clark was appointed to the SUNY Niagara Board of Trustees in 2018. Clark retired from Lockport High School after 39 years of teaching biology. He is the Chairperson of the board and a representative for New York Community College Trustees (NYCCT).

Clark has received numerous awards for teaching and community involvement, including the Channel 4 Outstanding Educator award in 2006, the “Others Award” from the Lockport Salvation Army in 2014, the Community Volunteer Award in 1982 from the Lockport Association of Christians and Jews, and the Lockport Youth Board Outstanding Adult Award in 1982.

Outside of the classroom, Clark is the Commissioner for the Lockport Civil Service Commission, serves as a trustee for New Directions Youth and Family Services, and currently coaches swimming within the Lockport School District and has coached at the YMCA.

After graduating from Lockport High School in 1966, Clark received a BA in Pre-Law from St. Bonaventure University and then a BS in Foundations of Teaching from Niagara University. He also studied at Exeter University, England for one year.
